My name is Pierre Maignial. I have just retired after having completed a professor's career. For twenty years I  also  used to teach Hebrew in a military school as a reserve army officer.

I am the founding pastor of the Mirecourt Baptist Church. As such I am deeply committed to the Bible as God's Word, to the spiritual life it invites us to live out, and to church life.

I have a keen interest in languages, history, various religions or spiritualities, and geopolitics - all these in the Middle Eastern environment especially.

As a preacher and lecturer, and also as the designer of Biblia Mirecurensia, I seek to favorise the Scriptural text being more widely known and studied, to help it become available to the greatest number.

Biblia Mirecurensia has been elaborated little by little, over a period of 20 years.

To all those who will use this tool, my wish for you is that, by reading the Bible in the original languages, you might find the same joy and wonder that I myself have found in it daily for over 40 years now.
